About Netherlands
- The name Netherlands literally meaning "Lower Countries" came about due to its low land and flat geography with only about 50% of its land exceeding one meter above the sea level.

Visa Process
- Nationals of countries outside the EU who wish to come to the Netherlands for a stay of more than three months need an authorization for temporary stay (MVV).
- The University will process the visa application (MVV) by applying for the same in the Netherlands on behalf of the students.
- Visa shall be received in around 4-8 weeks. Student needs to go for Biometrics at the local Embassy.
- On arriving in the Netherlands, the University will apply for a residence permit on behalf of the student.
- The Fees for Visa and residence permit application is usually included in the University Tuition fees package which is approx. € 210
Documents Required for Visa:
- You meet the general requirements that apply to everyone.
- You have proof of registration or temporary proof of registration as a student at a university or institute of higher professional education (in Dutch: hoger beroepsonderwijs or HBO).
- Your study program is accredited: this means that it has been recognized by Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders or NVAO (in the Netherlands) or the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education or EQAR (Europe).
- Your educational institution is a recognised sponsor with the IND.
- You will enrol on a full-time study program.
- You meet the income requirements.
- Every year you make enough progress in your studies. This means that you obtain at least 50% of the credits for each study year. Your educational institution assesses your progress and lets you know if you have obtained enough credits. What if you do not make enough study progress and your educational institution does not think there is a good reason for this? Then your educational institution will register you at the IND.
