Mymensingh medical college (mmc) is a public medical college and hospital in mymensingh, bangladesh. It was established in 1924 as lytton medical school, and renamed in 1962. The college is affiliated with dhaka university and bangabandhu sheikh mujib medical university (bsmmu).

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY


To be eligible for admission to mymensingh medical college (mmc) in bangladesh, indian students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 17 years old as of december 31 of the admission year 
  • Have passed the neet exam 
  • Have scored a minimum of 50% in 10+2 for the general category, 40% for obc/sc/st, and 45% for pwd 
  • Have completed higher secondary education or equivalent with science subjects (physics, chemistry, and biology) 

Mmc is a government medical college that offers mbbs, bds, and postgraduate courses.

SCHOLARSHIP

Mymensingh medical college students may receive scholarships through various programs, including the grameenshikkha-gsrd medical scholarship project and exim bank scholarships. 

Grameenshikkha-gsrd medical scholarship project 

  • This project provides financial support to medical students at mymensingh medical college and other medical colleges.
  • The gsrd foundation of the netherlands funds the project.
  • In 2022, each student received bdt 5,000 per month.

Exim bank scholarships 

  • Exim bank distributes scholarships to students at mymensingh medical college and other educational institutions in the region.
