ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

To be admitted to the medical and health science center at the university of debrecen, applicants must meet the following requirements:

High school diploma: applicants must have a high school certificate or diploma
Entrance exam: applicants must pass an entrance exam in biology, physics, and chemistry
English language proficiency: applicants must demonstrate english language proficiency
Academic records: applicants must submit transcripts of their academic records

Additional requirements for international students

International students must meet the entrance exam requirements for biology, physics or chemistry, and english language
Applicants with a b.a. or b.sc. Degree in a biology-related natural science field may be exempt from the entrance exam

Admission process

The admission process is divided into two rounds: spring and fall
The deadline for the spring round is usually in january, and the deadline for the fall round is usually in august

FEE STRUCTURE

The university of debrecen's medical and health science center fees vary by program and level of study. The tuition fees for the 2024–2025 academic year are:

Medicine: $16,900 per year
Pharmacy: $8,000 per year
Nursing: $6,500 per year
Dietetics: $6,000 per year
Physiotherapy: $8,000 per year
Social work in health care: $5,500 per year
Molecular biology: $8,500 per year

The tuition fees include the cost of health insurance and a student card.

Other fees the application fee is $150 and the entrance fee is $350.

SCHOLARSHIP

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

To be admitted to the university of debrecen's medical and health science center, you'll need to submit the following documents:

Application form: a completed and signed application form
Certificate of education: a high school diploma or equivalent, or a university diploma or equivalent
Proof of citizenship: a passport or other proof of citizenship or permanent residence
English language proficiency: if your first language isn't english, you'll need to provide proof of english proficiency
Resume or cv: a short resume that includes your educational background, work experience, and language skills
Medical certificate: a medical certificate that meets the university's requirements
Application fee: a non-refundable bank receipt for the application fee
Transcripts: transcripts of your academic record, including end-of-year reports and predicted grades
Hiv and covid-19 reports: negative hiv and covid-19 reports that are not more than six months old for hiv and three days old for covid-19

The university also has an entrance exam for medical programs. The exam consists of a written part and an oral part.
