History:

The chittagong university movement council was formed in 1961.
The university was established on november 18, 1966.
The first academic program started on november 28, 1966 with 200 students.

The university is located on 2,312.32 acres of hilly land in hathazari upazila, chittagong district.
The campus has a shuttle train, which is unique in bangladesh.

Faculties:

The university has faculties of arts, science, social science, commerce, law, and medicine.
The university's research journals are published under the title chittagong university journal.

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

To be admitted to the university of chittagong in bangladesh, students must meet certain eligibility criteria, including academic requirements and passing an interview.

Academic requirements

Students must have passed senior secondary education from a recognized board
Students must have scored a minimum of 50% in physics, chemistry, biology, and english
Students must have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st july of the year of admission

FEE STRUCTURE

The university of chittagong in bangladesh has different fee structures for different courses. The fees include tuition, hostel, and transportation. The university also offers scholarships and waivers to eligible students.

MBBS Course

The tuition fee for the mbbs course in 2025 is approximately inr 31.5 lakhs for six years
The hostel fee for the mbbs course in 2025 is approximately inr 4.2 lakhs for six years
The transportation fee for the mbbs course in 2025 is approximately inr 10,000 for six years
The total fee for the mbbs course in 2025 is approximately inr 35.8 lakhs for six years

MBA Course

Students who receive a cgpa of 3.70 or higher in any semester of the cucba mba program will receive a 20% scholarship on tuition fees for the following semester
Students who receive a cgpa of 3.50 or higher at the undergraduate level will receive a full waiver of the admission fee

BBAor BBS (honors) Degree

Students who receive a 4-year bba or bbs (honors) degree with a cgpa of 3.00 may receive a waiver for five fundamental courses

SCHOLARSHIP
