ABOUT UNIVERSITY

The American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university in Yerevan, Armenia that is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission. It is the first U.S.-accredited institution in the former Soviet Union that provides undergraduate and graduate education.

It was founded in 1991, Armenia's first year of independence, by the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), the University of California (UC), and the Armenian government. The university is the country's first institution modeled on Western-style higher education, committed to teaching, research, and service; it offers 11 master's and 8 bachelor's degrees.

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

The American University of Armenia (AUA) has several admission requirements, including application fees, academic scores, and language proficiency.

Application fee: There is a non-refundable application fee of 20,000 AMD. Erasmus+ students are exempt from paying this fee.
Academic scores: AUA considers academic scores such as GPA, SAT, and ACT scores.
Language proficiency: AUA recommends that applicants provide official results from the TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic exams. Native and near native speakers may be eligible for a waiver.
Transcripts: Applicants must submit their high school transcripts and secondary school report.

The American University of Armenia (AUA) tuition structure varies by program and citizenship status.

Undergraduate tuition

For the 2022-2023 academic year, tuition for a BA in Business was 2,250,000 AMD for citizens and 4,250,000 AMD for international students
For all other programs, tuition was 1,700,000 AMD for citizens and 3,700,000 AMD for international students

Graduate tuition

For the 2024-2025 academic year, tuition for an MBA program was 4,680,000 AMD for citizens and 9,680,000 AMD for international students

To be admitted to the American University of Armenia (AUA), you need to submit the following documents:
