Oradea is one of the largest universities in the country, consisting of 15 faculties, with over 14,000 students and 930 academic staff. The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy was founded in 1991, and it has two sections - English and Romanian.

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for admission to the University of Oradea, you must meet the following requirements:

Complete at least 12 years of schooling
Have a high school diploma or higher secondary school certificate
Have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the last two years of school
Be able to read and write in English
Be at least 18 years old by the beginning of the academic year
Be in good health and have good social behavior
Have financial proof that you can meet your responsibilities

Additional requirements for non-EU citizens

Provide an original letter of acceptance to study
Provide original certificates of studies and a Romanian translation
Provide a certified copy of your birth certificate and a Romanian translation
Provide a copy of your passport, including your study visa
Provide four passport photos
Provide a medical certificate translated into Romania

FEE STRUCTURE

The University of Oradea in Romania has different fee structures for Romanian, EU, and non-EU students. The university also offers scholarships to help students fund their studies.

Tuition fees

Romanian and EU students: Tuition fees are 22,500 RON per year
Non-EU students: Tuition fees are 550 EUR per month for nine months, or 4,950 EUR per year
MBBS students: Tuition fees are 5,000 EUR per year for the six-year program

Other fees

Registration fee: 150 RON, or about 30 EUR
Appeals fee: 150 RON, or about 30 EUR
Matrimony fee: 100 RON, or about 25 EUR
Processing file fee: 150 EUR for foreign candidates who need their studies recognized
Preparatory language course: 250 EUR per month for nine months, or 2,250 EUR per year for non-EU candidates

Housing

Housing in apartments costs between 200–400 EUR per month

SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Oradea in Romania offers a six-year medical program, and there are several scholarships for medical students.
