ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY


To be eligible for admission to the University of Bucharest, you must meet certain requirements, including:

  • Age: You must be at least 17 years old 
  • High school diploma: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Language proficiency: You must be proficient in the language of the program you are applying for 
  • Medical certificate: You must have a medical certificate that attests to your current health 
  • Passport: You must have a valid passport 
  • Financial support: You must have a way to finance your studies

The Romanian government offers scholarships for international students to study in Romania, including for medicine. You can apply for these scholarships online. 

Eligibility 

  • Have a minimum average of 7 in your last year of school
  • Be eligible for the study program you choose
  • If you don't speak Romanian, you may be granted a preparatory year in Romanian

Studying medicine in Bucharest

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest is one of the largest and oldest universities in healthcare. It's considered one of the most prestigious medical schools in Romania and Eastern Europe. The university offers programs in both Romanian and English. 

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

The University of Bucharest requires several documents for admission, including: 

  • Application form: The original application form or registration form 
  • Identification: A valid ID or passport 
  • Birth certificate: A certified copy of the birth certificate, or an authorized translation if it's in a foreign language 
  • Academic records: Certified copies of academic records, including high school and university transcripts 
  • Language certificate: A certificate of English or Romanian language proficiency, or a certificate of completion of the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language 
  • Medical certificate: A medical certificate that states the applicant is fit for university studies 
  • Other documents: A statement of documents authenticity, a declaration of commitment to pay tuition, and photos 

Documents may need to be certified by the Romanian Embassy or have a Hague Apostille.
