Universidade nacional timor lorosa'e (untl) is the public university of east timor, also known as the national university of east timor. It was founded in 2000 after east timor gained independence. Untl is the largest university in the country, with six campuses, nine colleges, and seven research centers.

ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY


Eligibility for admission to Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) depends on the program you're applying for. 
 
MBBS program 
 
  • Applicants must be at least 17 years old by the end of the year they want to be admitted
  • Applicants must pass the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually
  • Applicants must score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  • Applicants must qualify for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET)
  • Applicants must submit a completed application form, personal history statement, and a photocopy of their transcript of records
  • Applicants must also submit a photocopy of their NEET result, a letter of reference from two former professors, and an application fee
Recognition of MBBS degree
The MBBS degree from UNTL is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Medical Council of India (MCI). Indian students who graduate from UNTL are eligible to take the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) or the National Exit Test (NExT).

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

The documents required for admission to universidade nacional timor lorosa'e (untl) depend on the program you are applying for. Some general documents include:

  • Passport: a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond the intended date of arrival in timor-leste 
  • Transcripts: official transcripts of completed courses and grades for each semester
