ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY


Admission eligibility to the national university of east timor (untl) in east timor depends on the program you're applying for. Here are some general eligibility requirements for admission to untl: 

  • High school completion: you must have completed your secondary school education from a recognized board.
  • Minimum age: you must be at least 17 years old by the start of the academic year.
  • Minimum percentage: you must have achieved a minimum aggregate percentage in your high school subjects.
  • English proficiency: you must be proficient in english, especially if you're applying for a program taught in english.
  • Medical fitness: you must provide a medical fitness certificate.
  • Standardized test scores: you may need to submit scores from standardized tests like the neet.

SCHOLARSHIP

In March 2022, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MoHESC) of Timor-Leste offered a scholarship of US\$120 per month to 350 students from economically disadvantaged families. The scholarship was called Bolsa Hakbi'it and was given to students studying at the Lorosa'e National University (UNTL).
