ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY


To be eligible for admission to Dhaka University, you must meet certain academic and other requirements. 
 
Academic requirements
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in SSC and HSC examinations 
     
  • Have a minimum total GPA of 7.5 in SSC and HSC examinations 
     
  • Have a minimum percentage of 50% in the qualifying degree examination for Unreserved category candidates 
     
  • Have a minimum percentage of 45% in the qualifying degree examination for OBC/CW/PwBD Category candidates 
     
  • Have a certificate of Arts/Science group from Government approved colleges/Madrasahs 
     
  • Have no study gap 
     
Other requirements 
  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Have a valid passport book
  • Have a 10+2 high school academic certificate from a recognized board
  • Pass the NEET exam
  • Have a negative HIV and COVID-19 report
Application process
  • Applications for the Arts, Law and Social Science Unit and Business Studies Unit are accepted between November 4 and November 27 
     
  • Applications for international admission are usually invited in October and November 
     
Admission test 
  • Students who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible to take the centrally controlled admission test

 

FEE STRUCTURE

The university of dhaka (du) in bangladesh has different fee structures for undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as for foreign students. 

Undergraduate programs

  • Tuition: the tuition fee for an undergraduate program depends on the course 
  • Development fee: foreign students pay a departmental development fee of $100 per year 
  • Admission fee: foreign students pay a university admission fee in addition to the tuition and development fees 
  • Course code: the first digit of a course code indicates the year the course is offered, and the second digit indicates the semester 

Graduate programs 

  • Tuition: the tuition fee for a graduate program depends on the course
  • Refundable amount: some graduate programs have a refundable amount

Foreign students 

  • Tuition: foreign students pay a tuition fee per credit, which varies depending on their country of origin
  • Development fee: foreign students pay a departmental development fee of $100 per year
  • Admission fee: foreign students pay a university admission fee in addition to the tuition and development fees

 

SCHOLARSHIP

The amount of a scholarship at delhi university (du) varies depending on the type of scholarship and the student's academic performance. Some scholarships at du include: 

  • Merit scholarship

Awarded to students with a high cgpa in previous academic years, this scholarship can be up to inr 3,000 per month 

  • Du sports scholarship

Awarded to students who have represented du in inter-university sports competitions, this scholarship can be up to inr 2,000 per month 

  • Sardar kartar singh grover memorial merit scholarship

This scholarship is worth inr 350 per month and is usually awarded for one academic year 

  • Sc/st scholarship

Applications for this scholarship are accepted online through the e-district delhi portal 

Du offers scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate, and phd courses. 

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

To be admitted to dhaka university, you'll need to submit the following documents: 

  • A completed application form
  • Two passport-sized photos that are attested
  • An attested copy of your nid
  • Attested copies of all your academic certificates and mark sheets
  • Attested copies of your official transcripts of academic record
  • Original copies of your transcripts and certificates
  • A professional experience certificate, if you have one
  • Approved nocs
  • Du forms

You may also need to submit: 

  • Your original passport book
  • An aadhar or pan identity card
  • A non-criminal certificate
  • A bank statement from the past six months
  • A university acceptance letter
  • A neet scorecard
