About University <p>The Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy was established in 1879 and named in honour of the famous Romanian scientist Grigore T. Popa. It is one of the oldest <a href="https://www.medlinkstudents.com/universities/study-medicine-in-romania-in-english/">universities in Romania</a> and offers four faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Medical Bioengineering.</p> <p>The university is in Iași, which is one of the largest cities in Romania, located in the North-East part and only 500km from the capital city. The city is spread over seven valleys and is colloquially nicknamed the “city of the seven hills”. While not a bustling metropolis, it does have a young cosmopolitan spirit due to its almost 50,000 students.</p>
